About Jack Delvin
Jack first fell in love with magic when only 5 years old. He did his first professional show aged 13 and joined a concert party at 15. By the time he was 18 he had a successful stage act and performed in variety shows with some of the leading performers of the day. At 25 he was booking theatres for his full evening illusion show with four assistants. Between these shows he entertained at countless children’s parties.
Coming from a family of teachers, Jack has always found pleasure in teaching magic by writing books, making videos and giving lessons. He created the London School of Magic which combined classes with a postal course. Later he ran Davenport’s School of Magic. When he was 40 he added mind magic to his repertoire. Using this he starred in a long running series of broadcasts for the London Broadcasting Corporation.
Jack has performed close-up and cabaret in most of London’s leading hotels, Dorchester, Savoy, Hilton, Grosvenor House, etc. He has appeared on many television shows and has advised on many more.
Having recently retired from touring the country with his highly successful one-man show – ONE MAN’S MAGIC – he is now concentrating on teaching.
